Historically, highway signs have been required to be manufactured with a certain level of nighttime visibility, or “Retroreflectivity.” The 2009 MUTCD now requires all signs to be maintained at a certain level of retroreflectivity, based upon the colors of the materials used. The first deadline is January 22, 2012.

Sherry M. Baade, possesses a Bachelors of Science degree from York College of Pennsylvania in criminal science. During her college career she served as an Assistant Probation Officer for Montgomery County. She began her career in social services and MHMR.
She has to her credit 32 years in customer service, retail, training and quality control management, including retail sales in the building material and clothier fields and retail sales management.
In 2010, Ms. Baade enhanced her education by completing the Teacher Intern Program at Wilson College and received her Pennsylvania Instructional I certification from the PA Department of Education. Among her many roles, Miss Baade is an active teacher and curriculum support consultant in the South Middleton School District.
Ms. Baade has received training in FMCSR and administers all marketing and sales materials for Commonwealth Transportation Consultants Online Institute. She currently serves as a Training Sales Consultant for CTC’s Online Institute, primarily serving the certification needs of the firm’s commercial motor vehicle clients, providing CSA certification to comply with FMCSA regulations, and OSHA training for workers and managers in the affected industries.
